Join Rochelle in this 4 week Foundation to Aerial Yoga series. She will cover the 7 yoga wraps which create the foundation for your aerial yoga practice. This class is an incorporation of a traditional yoga practice into the aerial silk. The foundation of the practice begins with the breath allowing you to balance your strength with stretch. This practice help you to move deeper into your body while honoring your physical limitations.
VahiAyasa is Sanskrit for “being or moving in the air, suspended in the air, sky-dwellers.” It is a smooth merger of both extremes of the aerial yoga world that allows practitioners to sink into their practice more quickly, to deepen stretches, to find proper alignment naturally, and to reap the benefits of inversions without strain on the joints of the body.
No yoga experience needed for this practice. Come explore your body and have some fun!

About your teacher:
Rochelle has taught various forms of yoga for the last 16 years. She trained in VahiAyasa yoga to extend her own yoga practice and fell in love. She recognized the benefits the practice could bring to her students. In 2015 she opened her 4th yoga studio which was an aerial based studio while incorporating vinyasa and yin classes the foundation of her trainings. She is excited to share this practice with you.
